「真心sad！ 點解改作文由小一到而家小五 呈分試 ，學生表達唔開心感受嘅時候都係寫sad? 」我嘆氣 (內心流淚中) 。
今日我想講：「其實sad可以有唔同方法表達架。」
1. down
意思：
不高興的；情緒低落的，提不起精神的
unhappy; unable to feel excited or energetic about anything
示範句 Example sentence:
Joe has been feeling down recently because of the fifth wave of Covid.
2. downhearted
意思：
灰心的，喪氣的，氣餒的
discouraged; in low spirits, especially because of a disappointment or failure
示範句 Example sentence:
Covid does not seem to end, I somehow begin to feel downhearted.
3. despondent
意思：
鬱悶的，沮喪的，消沉的
extremely unhappy and without hope
示範句 Example sentence:
I have been unemployed for a year and am getting very despondent.
要留意Remarks：
這三個詞語也可解作不開心，但不開心的層次有所不同：「despondent」比「downhearted」表達更加絕望的感受，而「downhearted」又比「down」表達更灰心喪氣的感受，要留意使用那個詞彙來正確表達你的心情，不要錯用詞語啊！
「Sad還可以用其他片語(phrase)和慣用語(idiom)代替的啊！」
1. feel blue
意思：
感到情緒低落
depressed
示範句 Example sentence:
“I have been feeling a bit blue recently, shall we do something fun this weekend?” Jim said.
2. be down in the mouth
意思：
神色沮喪
to look visibly sad
示範句 Example sentence:
“What is wrong with Betty? She has been down in the mouth all day. Even I can see there’s something wrong with her when I pass by her,” I said.
終於完成批改了，內心的淚水也流乾了，希望下次改作文唔會再咁down啦！
